Dr. Richard D. Koenig, is the inventor and developer of The Good Vibrations Therapeutic Vibrating Shoe®. Dr. Koenig is a highly respected and well known podiatrist, international lecturer, and teacher with a degree in Podiatric Medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. From 1972 until 1994 Dr. Koenig resided and practiced in St Louis, Mo. where he served as President of the St Louis Podiatry Society and Chief of Podiatric Medical Services at De Paul Health Center.
Dr. Koenig’s medical research led him to develop the surgical procedure known as the “Total Toe System,” (GreatToe.com) a joint replacement for the foot to relieve pain and increase mobility of the patient. This procedure, reported in several editions of the “Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery”, is widely used throughout the world and is responsible for the reduction of pain and suffering and the return of function for thousands of patients.
A by-product of this surgical procedure and at the request of his patients and colleagues, Dr. Koenig developed POS-equipe® a post-operative shoe. The success of the post-operative shoe led Dr. Koenig to develop The Good Vibrations Therapeutic Vibrating Shoe®. Now everyone can wear and enjoy the soothing vibrations of this new “doctor invented shoe!”
